RECOMMENDATIONS FOR DEMONSTRATORS

I don't know if the source is genuine, but to get this several times through WhatsApp, Telegram and Signal makes me, age 69, wonder what the heck Spain is trying to do to the Catalan people!

It notches up the level of tension. In September we got advice on how to detect agents provocateurs, who went to town on the Spanish police cars' tyres and windscreens on September 20 in an otherwise impeccably peaceful demonstration of 60,000 people. Even this week that advice has been of help to detect and isolate such mercenaries.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR DEMONSTRATORS

From Catalan police loyal to the Republic we want to give you the following tips:

- Organize yourself in large groups.

- Do not throw hard objects. The members of the mobile brigade are protected and you will not do anything to them. Instead, you might hurt colleagues if you calculate badly. You can use other things to let you know your displeasure.

- If you hear shots don't run. It's just noise. Don't withdraw. 

- If smoke bombs are thrown at you don't withdraw. It's just smoke. You have to see if the policemen are wearing masks. If they aren't, don't worry, it isn't tear gas.

- If the gatheting begins to break up, the BRIMO [riot police] will begin to move around in their van to intimidate peiple and be able to be all over the place. Do not ruling when they move in. There are only a few of them. If you stay fixed they will have to slow down, get out and go into action, and they won't be able to be present elsewhere.

- If and when they go get out, don't resist them because you'll be on the losing side. Don't run either, just move away slowly. You might get a baton blow but you'll gain time to other companions.

- Be careful not to wear features that make you easily identifiable. Remember they'll taking photographs of you constantly.

- Record and/or take pictures of everything you can and don't go home on your own.

- Don't give up. DON'T FORGET THAT WE'RE DEFENDING DEMOCRACY AND FREEDOM!

RECOMANACIONS PELS MANIFESTANTS

Des dels Mossos fidels a la República us volem donar els consells següents:

- Organitzeu-vos en grups grans.

- No feu llançaments d'objectes contundents. Els agents de la brigada mòbil van protegits i no els hi fareu res. En canvi, podeu fer mal a companyes si calculeu malament. Podeu utilitzar altres coses per fer saber el vostre descontent.

- Si escolteu detonacions no correu. Només és soroll. No retrocediu.

- Si llencen pots de fum no retrocediu. Només és fum. Cal observar si els agents porten mascaretes antigàs. Si no les porten, no patiu, no són gasos irritants.

- Si la concentració es comença a dissoldre, la BRIMO començarà a moure's en furgoneta per tal d'intimidar i poder estar presents arreu. No correu quan es moguin. Ells són pocs. Si us manteniu ferms hauran de frenar, baixar i actuar, i no podran estar presents a altres llocs.

- Quan baixin no us hi enfronteu perquè teniu les de perdre. Tampoc correu, allunyeu-vos amb pas tranquil. Potser us emportareu un cop de porra però guanyareu temps per altres companyes.

- Tingueu cura de no portar característiques que us facin fàcilment identificables. Penseu que us fan fotografies constantment.

- Graveu/feu fotografies de tot el que pugueu i no torneu sols a casa.

- No us rendiu. NO OBLIDEU QUE ESTEM DEFENSANT LA DEMOCRÀCIA I LA LLIBERTAT!
