Cavern Club / FC Barcelona

This has been the fourth occasion that our City has welcomed Barcelona fans in our tenure as owners of the Cavern Club in Liverpool since 1991. As the most 'famous club in the world' and home of the Beatles, we are more than used to having people visit us from m om the world indeed it happens...

However, few times (if any) over that period has it been such a privilege to welcome a mass of fans, who have fully embraced the Club, the City of Liverpool and the occasion as a whole as the fans of Barcelona have. Their behaviour, their spirit and their friendliness is a credit to the whole of the City of Barcelona and indeed to Catalonia itself. It didn't work out as planned for you this time, but it surely will in the future. Well done Barcelona, it was an honour to welcome your amazing fans.
