Jordi Cuixart, the president of Òmnium Cultural who has been in prison for three years, has written a book, now published in an English version as "We'll do it again".

Jordi Cuixart, president of Òmnium Cultural and a human rights defender, has been in prison since 16 October 2017. He was found guilty of "sedition" and sentenced to 9 years in prison for having promoted a peaceful demonstration on 20 September 2017, some days before the Catalan referendum on self-determination on 1 October 2017.

Amnesty International, Front Line Defenders, the World Organisation Against Torture (OMCT), the United Nations Working Group on Arbitrary Detention (WGAD) and several UN Special Rapporteurs have all stated that Jordi Cuixart was exercising his rights to peaceful assembly and freedom of expression, and have therefore called for his immediate release. Spanish authorities have ignored all of these calls.

Since the beginning, Jordi Cuixart’s goal has not been to be released from prison quickly, but rather to use his imprisonment for a non-violent struggle against unjust laws and rulings, and to help resolve the political conflict between Spain and Catalonia through democratic means

When he testified before the Spanish Supreme Court judges, he said: “Everything I did, I would do it again”. Hence the title of his book which we want to share with you for FREE."
